The Story of Glaive's Bold Explorations into the Artistic Unknown (So Far)...!!!
a.k.a. the "About" Section

From honing their love of the dramatically spoken, sung, and written word...
From the spark of random inspiration, or the wishes of an indie creator who wants help polishing their marketing about their offerings so it truly shines for those they're trying to reach (without being fake, unethical, hard-sell-y, or just plain annoying)...From fiddling with Carrd to make a site for their friend's project and then going, "Wait, this is actually really fun--like character customization, but for a site! :D"...Glaive tends to find creative outlets in a lot of things (including writing the copy for the "About" section of their own Carrd like a story...because while they're good at helping others with their marketing, they can also deeply empathize with the whole "It's hard talking about myself" thing).Storytelling has been an integral part of their life since they were little. They find great meaning in sharing their own stories in different mediums to this day, and helping other people craft and share theirs!

Voice Acting:
I'm equally at home conveying shy sweetness, monotone bluntness, freaking out and going feral, emotional vulnerability, unsettling creepiness, bright cheeriness, hyper excitement levels at a frequency only dogs can hear, or just being a Weird Little Creature.
Being a lifelong lover of stories across media of all sorts--including writing them!--has helped me develop my skills in cultivating and delivering authentic, nuanced character voices, and it's so much fun growing them even further through voice acting.Because of this, I'm especially thrilled whenever I get the creative freedom to interpret characters in my own way, and love experimenting with a wide range of archetypes, moods, themes, and genres.

Singing + Songwriting:
I enjoy singing (musical voice acting! Sorta) and writing songs in a variety of styles and genres--especially pop, rock, classical, folk, singer-songwriter, musicals, and video game and anime OSTs.
Like my voice acting, my singing and songwriting is fueled by character-driven delivery that tells a story and makes an authentic emotional impact. My strengths are writing lyrics and vocal melodies--I don't currently offer instrumental composition or arrangement.

Lyrics + Vocal Melody Adaptation:
I also rewrite/adapt lyrics, compose vocal melodies for lyrics, and write lyrics for music written by others.

Rap:
Kind of like voice acting...with rhythm. My delivery can go from lower-range, don't-mess-with-me blunt confidence to high-pitched, wildly sassy attitude.

marketing support

Info about how I support indie creators with a range of budgets through tailored marketing consulting, copywriting, and more coming soon!My style is making your marketing strategy work for you as an individual, real human being with real human being needs (like not being overworked, and maybe not being treated as less than the work you put out) apart from your creative business endeavors...because honestly, a lot of traditional marketing advice does the opposite. And it kind of sucks, especially if you're neurodivergent and/or have chronic health needs (like me).BUT it doesn't have to! :D That's where I hope to come in and help untangle marketing concepts in a way that both makes sense and works effectively for people's individual personalities and lifestyles.I don't make any grand promises or guarantees, except doing my best to help in the most ethical way possible for everyone involved (indie creators, their audiences, and me). Because I may be a marketer, but I'm not...that kind. :PAnd if this appeals to you, you don't want to be that kind either. In that case, stay tuned for when I get this part of the site updated with more info! owoI don't currently have a mailing list, but you can follow me on Bluesky if you'd like because I will definitely post an update about it there when the time comes.

creative + work
values

Regardless of the project type, I'm comfortable and experienced with both self and external direction. I absolutely thrive and deliver my best work when I'm granted creative freedom (within the parameters of the project). I'm also very willing to work with project directors and indie creatives to meet their own more specific goals.I also highly value respectful, constructive feedback. Whether I'm voice acting or providing marketing support, I see my role as just one part of a collaborative creative process to help nurture a project to its fullest potential and deliver an impactful storytelling experience to audiences that they'll truly appreciate, hopefully for years to come.I do my best to work with others to meet their project's scheduling needs, but I do not believe in crunch. If a project needs to be pushed back in order to respect and accommodate a human being's mental and physical health, I'm more than willing to work with that if asked. This includes asking for extensions on due dates to care for my own well-being as needed.People are more productive when they're not physically and mentally strained to (and beyond) their individual limits...but much more than that, I simply think it's just considerate and right to not sacrifice others' (and my own) health for the sake of a system that's built to prioritize profits over humans (and other living things). If you're looking to work with a resourceful independent creator and ethical marketer who thinks outside of the box and is friendly, communicative, and reliable, feel free to get in touch! :D

faq

(fantastically-asked questions :D)

Do you use AI?
No. As an independent creator and just a supporter of the creative arts/industries, especially work by other independent creatives, I do not use any AI in my own work and never will. I also prefer not to work with projects if I'm aware they use AI--I always appreciate being informed, and will (politely) ask if there's any doubt.
Naturally, I do not consent to any of my work being used for/with AI in any capacity--training AI models, alongside assets generated with AI, etc. Ever.I've always believed it's incredibly important to support the creative arts and the people who work within them. I do not buy into the myth of the starving artist or that people must suffer for their art--that includes exploiting them with or without their knowledge.

okay that was like, one hypothetical question, but wanted to address it to clarify any doubts x)
